AI Privacy & Workflow
Last updated: August 2026
1.You decide when AI runs
AI is never automatic. Every AI feature — test interpretation, the write-up, codebook drafting — runs only when you deliberately trigger it. Nothing is sent to AI in the background, and you always stay the researcher: the AI explains and drafts, you make the calls.
2.Data minimization
When you start an AI feature, only the specific content that feature needs is sent for processing — not your whole account, and never more than the task requires.
3.Processed by Google Vertex AI
AI features are powered by Google’s Gemini models on Google Cloud (Vertex AI). Google processes this content only to generate your result, under Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum and applicable data-protection law. It is a purpose-limited processor acting on our instructions.
4.Never used to train AI models
Your content is notused to train or improve any AI model — not ours, and not Google’s. Google contractually commits that inputs submitted to Vertex AI are not used to train its foundation models.
5.Your results are saved for you — and only you
The results StatMinds generates — interpretations, reports and figures — are saved to your own account so you never have to re-run, or re-pay for, the same analysis. They live in your private records, are visible only to you, and you can delete them — or your whole account — at any time.
6.Your uploaded data stays yours
Datasets you upload are stored securely in Google Cloud, used only for the analyses you ask for, automatically deleted after 100 days of inactivity (the clock resets whenever you use them), and downloadable or erasable by you at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanently completes within 30 days.
7.Compliant by design
All processing follows the GDPR and India’s DPDP Act — purpose-limited, transparent, and kept only for as long as needed.
8.Workflow of an AI request
- You deliberately start an AI feature through your own action.
- Only the content that feature needs is sent for processing.
- Google’s Gemini model (Vertex AI, Google Cloud) generates the result.
- The result is returned to StatMinds and saved to your private records.
- Google processes it only to generate that result — never to train its models.
